7800° Fahrenheit is the second studio album by American rock band Bon Jovi. It was released on March 27, 1985, through Mercury Records. The album introduced the classic 1980s Bon Jovi logo that would later be used on Slippery When Wet and New Jersey.

7800° Fahrenheit' is Bon Jovi's second album. It was released in 1985. Pity the disappointing second album: U2's October, the Clash's Give 'Em Enough Rope-and Bon Jovi's 7800° Fahrenheit. All underwhelming sophomore efforts sandwiched between successful debuts and revelatory third albums. While the Slippery When Wet hits are more recognizable to the casual fan, New Jersey is a better and more varied album overall, from the boyhood nostalgia of "Blood on Blood" to the indelible anti-marriage anthem "Living in Sin" and prom-ready classic "I'll Be There For Yo. Bon Jovi never made a perfect record (and there's some filler here too-see "Wild Is the Wind"), but this represents the band-and pop-metal in general-at its puffy-haired peak.

7800° Fahrenheit is the album Bon Jovi have tried to forget. With the occasional exception of In And Out Of Love, they don’t acknowledge the record at all in the live shows. Jonathan Louis: 7800° Fahrenheit has occasional moments of inspiration from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, but the majority of it has a very "safe" glam metal style. In other words, all of these songs were made with the idea of getting on top 40 radio. I think that was a great work ethic for Bon Jovi to have at the time, and even more so given the personal turmoil the band members were having.

Most people might know Bon Jovi from Slippery When Wet, New Jersey and Keep the Faith. Not unsurprisingly though, since they became widely famous during these three previously mentioned albums and the hits they offered. I would go a step back and concentrate on 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit a totally underrated album. It is 1985 and it's been a year since the band had their debut album released. Not wanting to waste any more time they go straight into the studio to record their follow-up album.

The album introduced the classic 1980s Bon Jovi logo that would later be used on Slippery When Wet and New Jersey. 7800° Fahrenheit reached on the Billboard 200 albums chart and was the band’s first album to be certified gold in the US. It remained charted for 85 weeks and was certified platinum on February 19, 1987. The singles Only Lonely and In and Out of Love both charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi is an American rock band from Sayreville, New Jersey

Slippery When Wet is the third studio album by American rock band Bon Jovi. It was released on August 18, 1986 through Mercury Records in North America and Vertigo Records internationally. The album was produced by Bruce Fairbairn. This made them change their approach for the next album, going for a more mainstream sound than their heavier first two albums.

Whatever Bon Jovi’s later misgivings, the gold-selling 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit outperformed its predecessor, peaking at No. 37 and hanging around the Top 200 for an impressive 85 weeks. The album went platinum in early 1987. Of course, by then 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit had been categorically eclipsed by the mega-selling Slippery When Wet – and Bon Jovi was hotter than ever.
