Redmans Whut?Thee album from 1992 has got a lot of sweet sounding shit on it and brought him into attention in hip hop world. Despite obvious contributions by Erick Sermon (EPMD) there is another interesting character that took part in recording this album and that's Reggie Noble. This track was particularly produced by him with. his lyrics and even named so that everybody knows yeah - there's Reggie right there. He used a sample from Blind Alley by The Emotions (1972). Diamond D and Lord Finesse Showbiz produced another version of this track that was featured on the debut album. It's not even a remix, that's a completely different version - faster, more jazzy and using completely new samples turning it into an even bigger hit. The name once again points out to the legendary Diggin' in the Crates Crew.

Soul Clap EP. Payday, ffrr. 12 inch Vinyl Single.

Not to be confused with Soul Clap (album), an EP by Showbiz & . Background information. Soul Clap is an American DJ and production duo from Boston, Massachusetts. Active in the club scene since 2001, the group has released a number of mixtapes, EPs, singles, and albums. In 2012 they released their first full-length album, EFUNK. According to XLR8R, Soul Clap " the listener into the darker, more abstract corners of house (and its relative offshoots) by dressing them up with smooth, jazzy trimmings. The BBC wrote "they blend neon-splattered nostalgia with a crisp futurism thanks to their experimental production techniques.

If anyone can help me on this...I have an acetate from the Hit Factory of Red Hot Lover Tone's For My Niggaz feat Biggie etc, how can I determine the market value of this ?

Cia
Ok, I am feeling good now, I have the original, I did buy it around 91 and it has the Lord Finesse assisted track on it, still in great condition!!!

Vareyma
I have a promo single with just 4 tracks"SOUL CLAP(Short vers.,OFF BEAT MIX,PARTY GROOVE(Bass mix also instrumental).Another killer hip-hop must have.

Undeyn
'Party Groove' & 'Soul Clap' are two of the all - time underground hip hop party classics.Disparate samples have rarely been put together so expertly [not to mention funkily]"I Love Hip Hop - F**k Rock 'N' Roll!"

Androlhala
"I Love Hip Hop...F**k Rock 'N' Roll!"Amen to that!

Prorahun
The above note that mentions the run-out having "CBS♪♪" etched isn't correct. It should read "CSB♪♪" instead of CBS. This etching is ONLY on the side labeled "SHOW SIDE", and there are spaces in between each letter and the music notes.

Coiron
The picture above is showing the original press. Check the scan, the main artist is "Showbiz & A.G.", on most of the re-issues it's "Showbiz & A.G" without the closing period.

Redfury
Referring to an interview with Showbiz this came out in 1991 and they sold it straight out of their trunk. Comparing it to the later EP release on London Records, this version contains the original mix of "Soul clap" with different lyrics. You also get an exclusive track called "It's up to you" featuring Lord Finesse and the instrumentals of "Soul clap" & "Giant in the mental". The original pressing is mad rare - expect to pay more than 200$ at eBay. But a reprint is still available.

Another and the most definitive indication of an original pressing is the etchings csb and 2 music notes with F/W (short for Frankford Wayne) in the run out grooves on the A side of the vinyl in addition to the catalogue number. The B side has the F/W etching in runout groove.
